Much like Stephen King,Michael Crichton and John Grisham before him, author Patrick Lee is starting to find a home in Hollywood. His first book, The Breach, which was first published in 2009, is already getting the film treatment courtesy of screenwriter Justin Rhodes and producers David S. Goyer and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, and now Lee's next novel, which doesn't even have a title yet, has gotten the attention of one of the business' biggest action directors. Justin Lin, best known for directing The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five and the soon-to-arrive Fast & Furious 6, is now attached to helm an adaptation of Patrick Lee's latest, according to Deadline. After a "multiple studio bidding battle," Warner Bros. has won the rights to make the new thriller, which is expected to be the first in a series of books that follow a former special operative named Sam Dryden. »
