A new biographical film about Bruce Lee is apparently in the works entitled Birth of the Dragon, detailing his 'origin'. The film will focus on the now legendary fight between Lee and Wong Jack Man, which came about due to Man's displeasure with Lee teaching non-Asians Kung Fu. The fight is legendary as Lee won, yet was displeased with the fact that it took him more than 3 minutes to finish the fight and led to his development of Jeet Kune Do.
Reportedly Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen Rivele have come aboard the project, the duo are known for their work on 1995's Nixon and 2001's Ali, as well as the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic Mercury. The film will also be produced by the pair, along with Qed's Bill Block and Groundswell CEO Michael London. Block is quoted as saying:
