Universal has been planning a reboot of The Mummy franchise, with Total Recall and Underworld’s Len Wiseman at the helm. The script is being written by PrometheusJon Spaihts, but apparently one writer isn’t enough. They’ve also hired The Hunger GamesBilly Ray to write another draft for it. They’re likely to be fused into one film, which promises excellent cohesion.

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing the film, which is set in present day, and aiming for a 2014 release. »
