Premiere Date Announced for Hannibal TV Series

We’ve been covering the Hannibal TV series for quite some time, but it was never known when the series would premiere on NBC. It was rumored that a summer release was being eyed, but the show will actually start in April. NBC has officially announced that the first episode of Hannibal will air on April 4th at 10:00 pm.

The usual pilot process was skipped, with NBC placing a 13-episode first season order for the series. The show is being developed by Bryan Fuller and takes place before the events of Silence of the Lambs, following Hannibal Lecter and FBI Agent Will Graham:
