Burt Hummel could be moving out of Lima: "Glee" semi-regular Mike O'Malley has taken a role in NBC's comedy pilot "Welcome to the Family."

The show follows two families, one white and one Latino, who have to get acquainted fast when their kids fall in love and get pregnant. O'Malley, who's also recurring on "Justified" this season, will play the father of the pregnant girl, an easygoing orthodontist.

O'Malley has done pilots in each of the past two years, but they haven't been picked up, leaving him free to continue with "Glee" and various other shows. He's also guested on "Parks and Recreation" and "Raising Hope" in the past year.

Other pilot casting news:

- Jason Isaacs ("Awake," the "Harry Potter" movies) will play the title character in CBS' drama "The Surgeon General." (Zap2it had something else in mind, but that's Ok.) He'll play a widowed father of two »
