Rupert Grint is to star in the pilot for new comedy, Super Clyde.

Grint is, of course, best known for playing Ron Weasley, the faithful best friend of Harry Potter and has become one of the most famous faces in the world. Despite his megastardom, Grint has chosen to work on smaller projects since the franchise ended in 2011.

Super Clyde is one of two upcoming comedy pilots for CBS from Greg Garcia, who is best known for devising the superb (and under rated) My Name Is Earl. While there are few details about his other project (its a family comedy), Super Clyde has a very clear, if somewhat familiar plot;
