Recently Disney confirmed that they would have spin-offs for Star Wars characters to pair with the start of a brand new trilogy. While specific dates of the spin-offs have not been confirmed, the characters have including a young Han Solo and bounty hunter Boba Fett.

With J.J. Abrams helming the first leg of the new trilogy, a lot of the speculated names were left without the grand prize. Names such as Jon Favreau and Matthew Vaughn were left empty handed and without the jackpot of a directing gig.

But luckily with the spin-off films it should give some directors a chance to put their mark on the Star Wars universe without working on the main trilogy. Here are the five directors I would like to see take a stab at one of the spin-offs and possibly have an audition for a future Star Wars trilogy movie.
