Around-the-World Roundup: 'Django' Bests 'Basterds' Worldwide

For the fourth-straight weekend, Django Unchained topped the foreign box office. Thanks to its ongoing strong business, the movie moved ahead of Inglourious Basterds to become writer-director Quentin Tarantino's highest-grosser ever on a worldwide basis.Tarantino's revenge "Southern" added $19.5 million from 65 markets this weekend; its top territory was once again Germany with $3.9 million, and it held first place for the fourth weekend in a row in France with $3.3 million. Add its $187.7 million foreign total with its $154.5 million domestic take and Django has now earned $342.2 million worldwide, which is ahead of Inglourious Basterds's $321.5 million. Wreck-It Ralph finally reached the U.K. this weekend and took first place there with $7.1 million. Overall, the movie added $11.7 million for a new total of $207.5 million, and it's now a few days from passing $400 million worldwide.Including a strong $2.3 million first place debut in Australia, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters grossed $11.7 million this weekend.
