As the Harry Potter franchise drew to a close, its three young stars were striving to pave a way out of being forever typecast as Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Daniel Radcliffe did this by taking daring roles on Broadway, showing his singing chops and, well, more. Then he proved to be a box office draw with 2012's The Woman in Black. For her part, Emma Watson blossomed into a fashion icon and branched out into period dramas with My Week With Marilyn and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. But playing the gawky goofball of the Harry Potter heroes has made things harder for Rupert Grint. Despite headlining several features throughout Harry Potter's run.including Thunderpants, Driving Lessons and Cherrybomb. Grint hasn't gained any traction as an ingendude in the States.
