Here's a bit of no-brainer news for you on this Monday afternoon: In a move that surprised absolutely no one, The CW has given early pickups for next season to genre faves "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."

The CW Network has given early pickups to three of its hit series for next season, including its top-rated drama "The Vampire Diaries"; fan favorite "Supernatural"; and freshman hit "Arrow," it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. All three shows will return in fall 2013.
