Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is officially unstoppable! If you thought that his previous films Dogtooth and Alps are (still) synonyms for weird, then I have a little warning for you: get ready for The Lobster! Remember that title, because that will be Lanthimos’ next – a story about love, without being a conventional love story (like anything conventional is possible with this guy…) in which Being Single Is Illegal! At this moment we know that The Lobster script comes from Efthymis Filippou (and who else?) and that the movie will observe the ways and reasons certain people come together to form couples, while others don’t. »
