Paramount is using their Star Trek mobile application (find it here) to keep fans busy looking for new content related to the upcoming sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness. Today it's turned up two new images featuring Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock and Benedict Cumberbatch as the film's villain, John Harrison (or Khan if you don't believe in mistakes). Neither of the new images give away any kind of valuable information or even look all that interesting, which makes me wonder why fans would even bother with such things considering all will soon be released online without any sort of Easter Egg hunt, but such is the nature of fandom and the Internet and I guess crushing all over your favorite film franchise is better than a lot of alternatives. As for Star Trek Into Darkness, it will hit theaters on May 17. Here's the synopsis followed by the second new picture. »
