Every Christmas, when all those holiday movies are playing on ABC Family, whose heart doesn't skip a beat when they read, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas? It's so exciting - there's Jim Carrey...and that Goth "Gossip Girl" when she was little...and then you remember: the movie is super suckish. 

Universal and Illumination Entertaiment, the animation studio behind Despicable Me, are trying to right the wrong. They'll make a 3D animated version of Dr. Seuss' holiday classic book with Audrey Geisel, the widow of Theodore Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss), executive producing the pic. Directing is a guy named Peter Candeland (that's right...candy land!) who worked as an animator on Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas and All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 before turning to directing commericals and music videos. Illumination's CEO Chris Meledandri will produce and he personally has a long standing relationship with the Seuss legacy, »
