Check out this new first image from David Gordon Green's Southern drama "Joe," starring Nicholas Cage and Tye Sheridan ("Mud"). It is based on the Larry Brown novel of the same title, following an ex-convict (Cage) who tries to be the protector of a 15-year-old newcomer (Sheridan) in his small Texas town. Principal photography of the film recently wrapped, and it is being shopped at the Berlinale film market. Green, who has favored big studio comedies over the past few years ("Pineapple Express," "Your Highness"), returned to his indie roots at this year's Sundance Film Festival, premiering two-hander "Prince Avalanche," starring Paul Rudd and Emil Hirsch, to positive reviews.
