Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone are developing three new feature projects through their On the Day production company.

Universal has pre-emptively acquired the first, "Michelle Darnell," on an original character created by McCarthy. The pair will pen the script with Steve Mallory and will produce. McCarthy is attached to star.

The second, also setup at Universal, is an adaptation of Bruce Eric Kaplan's book "Cousin Irv From Mars". Kaplan, an exec producer on "Girls," will adapt his book which tells of a boy and his weird cousin who happens to be from Mars.

The third is Fox’s adaptation of the sex-help book "Just Do It" which will be adapted with the help of Michael Aguilar ("The Crazies," "The Departed"). The story deals with a man and his wife's attempts to rekindle their 14-year marriage with a 101-day sexual marathon, some of it good, some of it bad, »
