Pitch Perfect helmer Jason Moore will direct ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Pulling, based on the praised 2006 British series. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky wrote the adaptation, produced by ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment. Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly, creators of the original series, executive produce with Eisenberg, Stupnitsky and Kaplan. Pulling revolves around three dysfunctional women in their 30s living their lives the way they want, even if society tells them they should have it all figured out by this point. This is Moore’s second ABC/ABC Studios comedy pilot this season — he also directed Trophy Wife starring Malin Akerman. On the feature side, Moore is next set to direct the new Tina Fey comedy The Nest for Universal, following the success of his feature directorial debut with Pitch Perfect, which cost $17 million and went on to gross more than $108 million worldwide.
