AMC and 'Django Unchained's Double Feature Films Producers Enter Into First Look Deal for Scripted TV

When the Oscar-nominated producers behind "Django Unchained" and "Erin Brockovich" head for cable, you know where the industry is trending. You can't live on indie films alone anymore. So vet producers Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg's Double Feature Films is forging a two-year first look deal with AMC, a first for the production company. Double Feature Films will develop and produce scripted projects. Among their other credits are Steven Soderbergh's "Contagion,"  TV series "Reno 911!," Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center" and Zach Braff's "Garden State." AMC's Joel Stillerman praises Sher and Shamberg's "incredible range of films; along with an iconic, out of the box, television series that is still talked about today.
