Judge me by my size, do you? Hmmm? All those rumors about stand-alone films independent of the new Star Wars trilogy are true. Walt Disney Pictures Chairman and CEO Bob Iger confirmed the news today on CNBC that in addition to Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII and IX, "there are going to be a few other films released in that period of time, too." Does that mean a solo Yoda adventure is in the works?

"I can confirm to you today that, in fact, we are working on a few stand-alone films," said Iger. "Larry Kasdan (who wrote The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) and Simon Kinberg (who wrote Sherlock Holmes and X-Men: Days of Future Past) are both working on films derived from great Star Wars characters that are not part of the overall saga.
