Stephen King is one of the most well-known figures in modern horror fiction, having produced an extensive body of work over a writing career that nearly spans four decades. His stories have been the source for numerous movies, from Stand By Me to The Shining to The Shawshank Redemption. There have been a few attempts to bring his work to television as well, with the SyFy series Haven standing as the most notable example. With the backing power of filmmaker Steven Spielberg onboard as producer, however, CBS will attempt to adapt King’s 2009 novel Under the Dome for the small screen. A trailer for the series, which will make its debut on June 24th, has now been released, and can be seen below.
