It was a cold and desolate weekend at theatres across North America this weekend as the Super Bowl effectively slowed business down to a crawl. The only movie that really showed any sign of life was the zombie romance Warm Bodies, which pulled in enough female moviegoers and horror fans for a $20 million debut. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters fell to #2 while Silver Linings Playbook had a decent weekend as it climbed back to #3. Mama and Zero Dark Thirty rounded out the top 5. As for Sylvester Stallone's Bullet to the Head, it tanked harder than Schwarzenegger's The Last Stand, earning just $4.5 million (Stallone's worst opening ever). Stand Up Guys finished out of the top 10 altogether, although it played on only 650 screens. It's been a rough start to the year, but business will likely pick up again over the next couple of weeks. 1. Warm Bodies -- $20M 2. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters »
