Sam Worthington to star in Phillip Noyce's For The Dogs

Sam Worthington is set to star in the For the Dogs indie action / thriller. Phillip Noyce (Salt) directs from the script by Oren Moverman, based on the adaptation by Paul Leydon and the novel by Kevin Wignall. The story tells of a solitary hitman who agrees to aid a bright college girl in taking revenge on the man who killed her brother and parents. Variety reports that Anthony Rhulen and Navid McIlhargey are producing via FilmEngine alongside Leyden, as well as John Schwarz, Michael Schwarz and Worthington's Full Clip Productions. Worthington, mostly-known for James Cameron's Avatar, also starred in the lackluster Clash of the Titans and its somewhat better sequel Wrath of the Titans. He was also with Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson and Ciaran Hinds in John Madden's The Debt and alongside Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation.
