Former "Smallville" star Tom Welling has scored a co-starring role in Peter Landesman's ensemble drama "Parkland". Paul Giamatti, Zac Efron, and Billy Bob Thornton also star.

The story is set in the hours following the assassination of JFK in Parkland Hospital. Open Road is in talks to distribute domestically this Fall. [Source: Deadline]


Frank Langella has joined cast of Mike Newell's "Reykjavik" at Scott Free and Participant Media. The film tells story of the 1986 peace summit between Ronald Reagan (Michael Douglas) and Mikhail Gorbachev (Christoph Waltz) in Iceland.

Langella will play Paul Nitze, United States Secretary of the Navy and Reagan’s most senior and trusted adviser. [Source: Deadline]
