Jake Abel, who portrays Ian O'Shea in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's The Host, has admitted to initially being a little intimidated by the part. So, what was it that got him a little nervous at first? Speaking to MTV, he explained that he was a bit intimidated by both of the central ladies involved with the project - Stephenie Meyer and Saoirse Ronan. "I believe Stephenie had done a couple of small films that were relatively successful, and I had heard of those," he joked of her massive Twilight successes, "and I didn't know too much about The Host until I heard about the audition. So before I went in to actually read with Saoirse, I ran into Stephenie out in the lobby, and if that wasn't intimidating enough, I hadn't seen Saoirse in ... four years? T . »
