Talk about faking it until you make it.

Cinemax has moved quickly to renew Banshee, its new drama about a criminal pretending to be a town sheriff, for a second season.

The series is only three episodes into its 10-episode first season, which premiered Jan. 11. Season 2 is scheduled to debut in 2014.

Banshee, from True Blood‘s Alan Ball and House‘s Greg Yaitanes, stars Antony Starr and airs Friday nights at 10/9c.
