Star Wars: Episode VII could have a female protagonist, according to a recent report. The first film in Disney's new Star Wars trilogy will be directed by Jj Abrams, who beat other directors including Matthew Vaughn and Ben Affleck to the job. According to /Film, Vaughn's pitch to the studio included Chloë Moretz in "the lead role". Abrams has described winning the Star Wars job as "wildly surreal". Toy Story scribe Michael Arndt (more) »
