Singer-songwriter Norah Jones will perform "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from the comedy "Ted" at the Oscars on February 24. The song is nominated for Best Original Song, and features lyrics by host Seth MacFarlane, who wrote, directed and voice-acted in "Ted." Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron stated, "We are big admirers of Norah's singing and she will help celebrate the unique circumstance of having an Oscar host who is also nominated for Best Original Song." This is Jones' first time performing at the Oscars. As previously announced, Adele will also be performing at the Academy Awards, singing the Oscar-nominated "Skyfall" theme live for the first time ever. »
