I wonder if I can convince Virgin Media to refund me my £14.95 after last night’s Royal Rumble proved to be a monumental waste of money?

After what can only be described as a weak build up, the Royal Rumble finally hit out screens last night, leaving many WWE fans lost for words – and not in a good way. The show opened with the World Heavyweight Title match between Alberto Del Rio and The Big Show. This was nowhere near their previous match in terms of excitement and urgency, and would have been a much better fit for an episode of Smackdown, or better yet, a house show. After a sloppy back and forth, the match ended when Del Rio’s Bff Ricardo Rodriguez taped Show’s feet to the ropes preventing him from standing before the 10 count. Oh, and Bret Hart appeared and called Del Rio the Mexican Hitman. »
