The news that J.J. Abrams is nearing a deal to leave the world of Starfleet and head to a galaxy far, far away caused quite a stir online Thursday. The Star Trek Into Darkness director had previously said he was not interested in taking the reins of Star Wars: Episode VII, but has apparently changed his mind.
The next installment, which Abrams would direct, is targeting a 2015 release, with Disney seeing it as a launching point for a new trilogy. Michael Arndt
