(Updates with official confirmation from HBO.) HBO has renewed Lena Dunham's Golden Globe-winning comedy, "Girls," for a 12-episode third season, the network said Friday. The decision is no surprise: Dunham said season three would begin shooting in March during a conversation with Alec Baldwin earlier this week on his Wnyc podcast, "Here's the Thing."
