Before we start, let's just be said we're throwing up flags on this until Disney announces this thing themselves. The Wrap have been super dodgy lately with their exclusives and we're a bit shocked that they would be the first on the beat with this. But hey stranger things have happened, so let's get to it. The trade is reporting that J.J. Abrams is now set to direct "Star Wars: Episode 7." And yes, we know. It was just in November that the direct pretty much took himself out the game when asked if he was interested in taking on the job. “Look, 'Star Wars' is one of my favorite movies of all time,” he said. “I frankly feel that – I almost feel that, in a weird way, the opportunity for whomever it is to direct that movie, it comes with the burden of being that kind of iconic movie and series. »
