If you’ve been watching the BBC’s Sherlock (and you really should be watching it) then you’ve been exposed to the awesomeness that is Benedict Cumberbatch.

You should get used to hearing his name this year. He is the main villain in Star Trek Into Darkness, and has a two roles in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy as the voice of the dragon Smaug and the Necromancer. (It should also be noted that Martin Freeman, who is Bilbo, also plays Watson in Sherlock.)
