Les Misérables has held off competition from Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained to top the UK box office. Tom Hooper's musical, starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway, pulled in £4.4 million on its second weekend in theatres to easily hold off competition from Tarantino's slavery western. Life of Pi slips down to number three, while The Impossible rises a place to four. Warner Bros's all-star Gangster Squad rounds out the top five.
