George Miller’s return to the desert wasteland of the future has encountered several obstacles on its path to the screen.  Everything imaginable whether it was budget cuts, script re-writes, casting issues, and even hazardous weather conditions has plagued this film from getting made.  The original intent was to start shooting in 2003.  Than that was pushed to 2009.  But it wasn’t until July of last year that cameras finally began to roll on the film.  Tom Hardy will be taking on the title role this time around in place of Mel Gibson (who may have a small cameo).  It is not known if Miller did shoot two new sequels back to back – it was his original intention to shoot Fury Road and Mad Max: Furiosa at the same time – but it’s good to know that we are getting at least one sequel.  We may be closer than ever »
