Now that the popular TV Drama produced by the BBC, Merlin, has come to an end, there’s an obvious gap in the origonal Brittish Drama slot that shows like Merlin, Sherlock and Torchwood use to fill. The most recent new drama that the BBC have produced is Ripper Street. Based around the story of Jack the Ripper, the show will soon be done, so it’s good to think about what show might take its place or another slot in the near future.

Most shows are from books, though they’re almost certainly aimed at an audience who have enjoyed the book and would then look forward a TV series.
