Sundance Film Festival competition drama “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints” and its producers, Toby Halbrooks and James M. Johnston of Sailor Bear, have been selected as the winners of the 2013 Indian Paintbrush Producer's Award. The award, which comes with a $10,000 grant, was announced Sunday, Jan. 20, at the festival’s annual Producers Lunch. David Lowery’s film, which features Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck in the story of an outlaw who escapes from prison and sets out across Texas to reunite with his wife and daughter, was beginning its world premiere just then at the Eccles Theatre. Indian Paintbrush president of production Mark Roybal, who has the film “Breathe In” screening in the 2013 Sundance program, made the announcement.
