There are few things in this world that I care more about than "Star Wars" and the work of Joss Whedon. So when Whedon recently admitted he briefly hoped to direct the next "Star Wars" installment, I couldn’t help but take notice.
I was anxious about contemplating the union of my two greatest pop culture passions — I thought it might make my brain explode. But I did, and it didn’t.
These were my reflections on the matter, transcribed for your reading pleasure:
If Joss Whedon directed "Star Wars," he would figure out how to please the old fans while attracting and engaging new ones.
