Dominic Cooper ("The Devil's Double," "Captain America") will play Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, in a new four-part drama being co-produced by BBC America and Sky Atlantic. With the fictional spy film franchise celebrating its 50th anniversary this past year, "Fleming" (a working title) promises to take a "no holds barred" look at the author and his colorful personal life. The drama will follow how Fleming went from a sophisticated charmer leading a life of pleasure-seeking and living off his wealthy family to a Naval Intelligence officer following the start of World War II, one responsible for outrageous counter intelligence missions against the Nazis, ones that would inform the Bond books. The series promises to be heavy with sex, intrigue and wartime boozing.
