Gremlins: Warner Bros. is once again in negotiations to reboot Joe Dante’s funny and weird 1984 film Gremlins. The rights are held by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, and reportedly the studio has tried several times over the years to make a new version, but the deal has consistently proved to be too “daunting” from a financial perspective. Dante made a terrific sequel in 1990, Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
