This Friday, January 16th, "Fringe" will manage to do what not every TV series has the opportunity to -- to actually come to a planned end instead of just, you know, stopping. The Fox sci-fi drama, created by J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, will close out its five season run on a neat 100-episodes with a two-part series finale written and directed by showrunner J.H. Wyman ("Pale Saints," "The Mexican") that will offer up the final battle between humanity and the Observers. Check out the trailer, which finds Walter Bishop (John Noble) intoning "I have been called a mad scientist. I have stolen time and cheated fate," below.
