Much like the main character at the center of its plot, Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity has spent a lot of time just floating in space. While Warner Bros. had originally put the film on its schedule for November 2012, last May they pulled it off the calendar completely, revealing only that it would come out sometime in 2013. They've finally picked a more specific date. Box Office Mojo says that the studio has officially dated Gravity for October 4th of this year. It's a strange move as the selection is already filled with wide releases, including the Vince Vaughn comedy The Delivery Man, the Liam Hemsworth thriller Paranoia, the long-anticipated sequel Sin: City: A Dame To Kill For, and 3D version of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
