After canceling "The Killing" back in June, AMC is bringing Veena Sud's longform murder series back to life with a new deal announced today by the cable network and Fox Television Studios that finds the drama returning for a third season. Stars Mireille Enos (Sarah Linden) and Joel Kinnaman (Stephen Holder) will be back, as will Sud, who'll continue to serve as executive producer, writer and showrunner. After two seasons focusing on the investigation of the murder of Seattle teenager Rosie Larsen, the prolonging of which some critics and viewers found maddening, season three of "The Killing" will focus on a new case that, the press release actually states, "will be resolved over the course of 12 episodes."
