Sunday night's big TV and film ceremony will feature – and hopefully reward – a dazzling array of female talent

It's Ladies Night this Sunday, and we're not talking about the Season 2 Premiere of Girls on HBO. NBC's 70th annual Golden Globes award show looks like giving us gals what we've badly missed in the Concert for Sandy Relief or the new Obama White House – a healthy representation.

Yes, we know what you're saying. Awards shows are filled with chicks. They're everywhere, scurrying over the red carpet in their shiny gowns and over-the-top jewels. But this time it's different, people. This year we're envying the brains more than the bodies.
