And the Godzilla news keeps on coming.  Earlier this week we had a couple of major developments regarding Warner Bros.’ upcoming Godzilla reboot, including the news that Frank Darabont has been brought on to perform a final rewrite of the script and a shortlist of actors in the running for the lead role reportedly include Henry Cavill, Scoot McNairy, and Caleb Landry Jones.  Well so much for that shortlist story, as word now comes that Warner Bros. has its eye on a different actor to lead the project: Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson.  Hit the jump for more. Per Deadline, Johnson is now the frontrunner to lead the Gareth Edwards-directed project as he has an offer for the role.  Being the smart guy that he is, Johnson won’t make a final decision on whether or not to take the job until Darabont turns in his polish of the script. »
