The founder of Pflag (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Jeanne Manford has died at the age of 92. Manford began her activism in 1972 after her gay son Morty was beaten during a Gay Activists Alliance demonstration. Subsequently, Manford wrote a letter to the editor of The New York Post, stating "I have a homosexual son and I love him." Rest in Peace Jeanne.
One a lighter not, happy birthday to Joey Lauren Adams, Joely Richardson, Kate Middleton and Joan Baez! (Be honest, do any of you take issue with Joey Lauren Adams' lesbionic film Chasing Amy, or is it just me?)
The anti-gay One Million Moms organization is after The Biggest Loser's Jillian Michaels, not for being queer but for swearing. Wtf?
