Natalie Maines has downplayed the likelihood of a full-scale Dixie Chicks reunion. The Dixie Chicks have been on a hiatus since the release of their Grammy-winning album Taking the Long Way in 2006, aside from a few live dates. Maines recently discussed the group's future on The Howard Stern Show, admitting that the public outcry over their opposition to the Iraq War a decade ago put a damper on the group's success. "I just don't feel like it's the Dixie Chicks' time," Maines told Howard Stern. "I feel like things were tainted permanently.
