BAFTA Nominations Announced; Lincoln Leads with 10; Tarantino and Haneke Nominated for Best Director

Nominations have been announced for this year's BAFTAs (i.e. the British Oscars), and Lincoln leads the pack with ten nominations.  The acclaimed drama was nominated for Best Picture alongside Argo, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, and Zero Dark Thirty.  Curiously, Steven Spielberg was not nominated for Best Director and neither was Tom Hooper.  Instead, Quentin Tarantino and Michael Haneke received those nominations for Django Unchained and Amour, respectively.  It's also worth noting that Skyfall picked up 8 nominations including Outstanding British Film, Best Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem), and Best Supporting Actress (Judi Dench). Hit the jump for the full list of nominees.  Winners will be announced on Sunday, February 10th.  Oscar nominations will be announced tomorrow morning, and it will be interesting to see how they match up with the BAFTAs.
