Fox has announced two new "long-form event series" from M Night Shyamalan and Band of Brothers writer Bruce C McKenna. Shyamalan's Wayward Pines is described as an "intense, mind-bending thriller" in the vein of Twin Peaks. The series - based on Blake Crouch's novel Pines - follows Secret Service agent Ethan Burke as he arrives in the town of Wayward Pines, Idaho in search of two missing federal agents, but uncovers more questions than answers. Wayward Pines has been adapted by The Playboy Club's Chad Hodge and will be executive produced by The Sixth Sense director Shyamalan.
