If Ryan Gosling was the man of 2011, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the man of 2012. He was beyond awesome in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, and phenomenal taking the lead opposite Bruce Willis in Rian Johnson’s Looper, and now he’s set to lead another brilliant project in the form of Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Deadline report that Gordon-Levitt will be taking the role of Johnny, originally offered to Johnny Depp earlier in the project’s development.

Starring alongside him will be Jessica Alba, Jamie Chung, Mickey Rourke, Jaime King, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson, and Dennis Haysbert, with Bruce Willis and Clive Owen expected to reprise their original roles as well.

We had heard last week that Gordon-Levitt was in talks with Marvel over Guardians of the Galaxy, and had been added to the short list for the leading human role of Peter Quill. »
