Danish actress Connie Nielsen has appeared in many American movies, such as Ridley Scott's Gladiator, Mark Romanek's One Hour Photo and Taylor Hackford's The Devil's Advocate, but has yet to really have her big breakthrough Stateside. 2013, however, looks like it could prove the tipping point for her. Not only will she be co-starring in Lars von Trier's daring erotic drama Nymphomaniac opposite the likes of Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, and Shia Labeouf, Nielsen will also appear opposite Kevin Costner in McG's next big and flashy thriller. The former seems guaranteed to attract plenty of art house crowds, critical notice and controversy, while the latter seems destined to grab mainstream attention.
