If you’ve seen Andrés Muschietti’s short film Mama, you’ll know just why the creepy footage caught visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s eye (you can watch here  if you missed it with an introducton from del Toro). The Hellboy and Pans Labyrinth director (who produces) has since tapped Muschetti to direct a full-length feature, expanding on the unsettling story of two little girls paid a ‘visit’ by their devoted mother.

The film stars Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as a couple who take in the two troubled youngsters who disappeared for five years earlier along with their mother.
